Engineer, Civil Engineering

Our mine services group is seeking a full-time Engineer for our Northwood, OH branch. The Engineer will design and verify civil and structural components for mining infrastructure.

• Perform 2D and 3D designs in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor
• Collaborate with others (managers, designers, field techs, customer, drafters, administration)
• Develop designs, including specification and calculations to document compliance with project and code requirements
• Perform a variety of engineering calculations for foundations, reinforced concrete structure and components, structural steel frames and other similar concrete and steel structural components and systems
• Generate fully compliant civil/structural drawings for layouts, building sections/plans/details, foundation details, steelwork details and architectural feature design
• Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications, including supervision of engineers and designers in document development
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis activities and programs to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
• All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager

• Mechanical or Civil Engineer
• Applicants must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines
• Should be comfortable visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders
• Proficient in Structural Design (Conveyors, structural towers and foundation work are a plus)
• Drafting of infrastructure based on field measurements or provided drawings, while meeting time and budget constraints
