Tube Laser Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our engineering and automation team as a Tube Laser Programmer / Solid Works Designer.

This position is focused on developing the skills necessary to program, manage, and optimize our Trumpf Tube Laser systems while also creating and modifying products using Solid Works. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys both engineering design and hands‑on manufacturing.

• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to communicate effectively with shop floor personnel
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to learn laser programming and automation systems
• A minimum of 2 years of CAD drafting or manufacturing experience preferred

• Proficiency in Solid Works
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Familiarity with steel fabrication processes
• Familiarity with Trumpf laser equipment or software
• Familiarity with sheet metal or weldment design
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Previous experience with laser cutting or CNC programming
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• Program and manage Trumpf Tube Laser production
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and production drawings using Solid Works
• Develop custom products and customer‑specific designs
• Optimize laser programs for efficiency and material usage
• Coordinate with production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules
• Troubleshoot production and programming issues
• Communicate effectively with operators on the shop floor
• Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions
• Assist with continuous improvement and automation projects
• Support other engineering department projects as needed
