Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Safety Engineer to work in the Toledo, OH area. This is a direct hire position that offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Summary:

As a Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and compliance of systems, equipment, and processes. You will lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and hazards, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety protocols. Your expertise will guide the design and operation of safe, efficient systems, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards.

You will be responsible for continuous improvement in safety practices, ensuring that both new and existing systems are optimized for safety and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute testing protocols and validation procedures to evaluate the safety performance of systems and equipment.
• Guide successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of products and services.
• Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Maintain detailed records of safety assessments, test results, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Provide training and guidance for team members on safety-related topics and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in safety engineering, standards, regulations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years in safety engineering, risk assessment, or safety systems. Experience in industries like manufacturing, automotive, aerospace is often preferred. Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, or safety. TUV2T Certified. Ability to complete SISTEMA reports and safety validation. Extensive experience with risk assessments. Strict attention to detail and an eye for continuous improvement. Familiar with OSHA/ISO regulations and protocols.
