recruiting an experienced Tooling & Die Design Engineer for a confidential manufacturing client specializing in advanced aluminum and magnesium casting technologies.
This position will support operations in both Detroit, MI and Bellevue, OH
, making the Toledo area an ideal central location.
- Design and optimize high-pressure die casting (HPDC) dies and tooling.
- Develop gating, runners, venting, overflows, and thermal management systems.
- Perform 3D flow, thermal, and solidification simulations.
- Conduct DFM reviews and recommend tooling and casting design improvements.
- Troubleshoot casting defects and tooling performance issues.
- Support prototype builds, NPI, and production launches.
- Work directly with automotive OEM customers and internal engineering teams.
- 3+ years of HPDC tooling and die design experience.
- Experience with MAGMA5, FLOW-3D, ProCAST, or similar casting simulation software
. - Strong 3D CAD experience with NX, CATIA, Creo, or similar
. - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to regularly support both Detroit and Bellevue locations

Domestic travel and occasional international travel may also be required.
