We’re seeking a highly organized, analytical Financial Data and Pricing Analyst to join our team. This will be a fast‑paced, in‑office environment where there will be continuous opportunity to learn.
About The PositionOur Financial Data & Pricing Analyst will collect and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights that drive pricing decisions and support company objectives. This role is responsible for comprehensively reviewing market trends, competitor pricing, and company costs to recommend optimal pricing strategies for products, with a focus on maximizing gross profit and customer retention.
The Analyst will work directly with Sales, Purchasing, and Marketing, as well as in aligned committees, to achieve these goals. Key responsibilities include building financial models for forecasting, preparing reports and dashboards, identifying financial trends, and collaborating with other departments to ensure data accuracy and improve financial performance. The role requires strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
- Gather information on market trends, consumer demand, and competitor pricing.
- Analyze past sales data, pricing performance, and cost information.
- Examine item costs, distribution costs, and other related expenses.
- Make recommendations on pricing strategies based on their analysis, considering factors like profit margins, competitive pricing and overall business goals.
- Review customer programs with contracted costs to ensure pricing is most optimal.
- Track the performance of pricing strategies, evaluate their impact on sales and profitability, and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop/Retain/Modify dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business objectives.
- Collect, format and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve efficiency, performance, and customer experience.
- Maintain and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular performance reports for upper management.
- Miscellaneous projects that further advancement and efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for data analysis and strategy development.
- Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and modeling techniques is crucial for analyzing data and developing pricing models.
- Effective communication skills are needed for presenting findings, collaborating with others, and influencing decision‑making.
- This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, proficiency in data tools, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
