The Doors Global Manufacturing Financial Director provides strategic financial leadership to the manufacturing team across the business. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance, Doors. There is accountability for providing guidance and consultation to the Vice President Operations and other Operations leaders on strategy and driving business results. This role will also ensure consistency across the manufacturing network and provide key financial analysis to the business unit Finance Leaders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESServe as Key Strategist/Consultant in achiving segment and group profitability objectives
- Leading the Global Manufacturing Finance Leaders as they collaborate with Operations leader(s) in developing actionable, accountable and resilient segment manufacturing strategy to achieve targets, mitigate risk and prioritize resource needs.
- Provide sound business advice to Manufactuing Leader and Finance Leaders in weighing near and long-term risk and opportunities in corporate resource allocation and risk management. Oversees and evaluates the development of contingency plans and productivity improvement across Doors.
- Apply external perspective and maintain intimate knowledge of the business’ competitive environment, market conditions, customers, and profit drivers.
- Provide effective and timely financial information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure the efficient execution of the operating plan.
Operations planning and forecasting
- Consults with segment Finance Leaders and Commercial Leaders on strategic and operational objectives for the plants that are aligned to Corporate and Group strategic objectives
- Lead Manufacturing Finance Leaders as they assist Global Manufacturing Business Leaders with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for division and plants, setting the appropriate targets for each facility.
- Provide a global view of Doors manufacturing for planning and forecasting; including identifying areas of opportunity and risk.
Financial and operational controls
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Customer Financial Services, Shared Services to ensure that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.) across Doors.
- Oversee effective audits and ensure all compliance actions are executed .
- Ensure assets are safe-guarded in order to maximize financial performance.
- Raise all issues of significant risk and non-compliance to the VP of Doors Finance for the business group.
Leading and developing talent
- Creates an environment where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation systems and utilization of people.
- Acts as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business providing education and training on the key principles of Finance
- Grows and develops direct reports and others identified talent in their organization.
- Ensures succession plans are executed for focus roles
Establish and Lead Strategic Initiatives for the Manufacturing Finance Function and Support Business Strategy
- Set the strategic initiatives for the Manufacturing Finance function that leverage the principles of automation, simplicity and standardization
- Support the manufacturing strategy of TPM through: (
1) ensuring each facility in region has adopted the tools and techniques of Cost Deployment, (2) promoting a culture of waste elimination, (3) pro-actively focusing the team to share and adopt best practices from other sites, and (4) ensuring a process to track execution of the zero waste projects within region, recognizing those that excel and highlighting others that need more focus - Support cost initiatives that ensure we achieve low delivered cost targets and optimize profitability
- Support growth agenda including acquisitions and leading integrations in Manufacturing Finance area
Cross functional leadership and team contribution
- Work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, division or corporate objectives
- Shares best practices across division, i.e, process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changes.
- Aligns teams and resources in order to solve problems and drive results
- Provides support to team members at plant, segment and corporate level
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline a must.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated leadership in manufacturing finance
