Accounting Analyst

As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic priorities. This position blends financial analysis, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance oversight, and cross-functional project support.

As part of an evolving organization, this role will help advance finance's contribution to the organization's 5-year plan, as you touch:

• Perform financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance reporting to support decision-making
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Develop financial models to assess business performance and strategic initiatives
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage the monthly grant draw process
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts
• Assist in preparing financial statements
• Support internal and external audit processes

• Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to reduce financial and operational risk
• Participate in compliance reviews, testing, and documentation
• Assist with implementing new policies, controls, and compliance initiatives

• Lead or contribute to cross-functional finance and operational projects
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
• Assist with strategic initiatives and CFO priorities as needed
