School Based Therapist - Lakota City Schools Compensation
$53,000-$58,000

- Provide appropriate individual, group, and family mental‑health therapy, case management, and other professional services.
- Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and families, including mental‑health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
- Regularly review and modify youth‑based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
- Travel daily during summers and extended breaks to provide community‑based services to youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents (families of origin and/or foster families), teachers, administrators and other school staff.
- Provide safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served.
- Master’s level education required in Human Services or Social Work.
- LSW or LPC required.
- At least one year of master’s‑level internship or work experience providing therapy services.
- Ability to provide mental‑health assessments.
- Experience developing treatment plans.
- Knowledge of case‑management services.
- Capacity to develop and facilitate individual and/or group counseling to students in the program.
- Maintain your caseload and continue to provide services to students in community during extended breaks and summer.
- Comfortable providing services in community and client homes.
- Flexible and responsive to youth, families, teachers, and administrators.
- Good computer and technology skills.
- Willing to accept other job duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Good driving record.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
