School Based Therapist - Lakota City Schools Compensation

$53,000-$58,000

Responsibilities
  • Provide appropriate individual, group, and family mental‑health therapy, case management, and other professional services.
  • Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and families, including mental‑health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
  • Regularly review and modify youth‑based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
  • Travel daily during summers and extended breaks to provide community‑based services to youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents (families of origin and/or foster families), teachers, administrators and other school staff.
  • Provide safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s level education required in Human Services or Social Work.
  • LSW or LPC required.
  • At least one year of master’s‑level internship or work experience providing therapy services.
  • Ability to provide mental‑health assessments.
  • Experience developing treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of case‑management services.
  • Capacity to develop and facilitate individual and/or group counseling to students in the program.
  • Maintain your caseload and continue to provide services to students in community during extended breaks and summer.
  • Comfortable providing services in community and client homes.
  • Flexible and responsive to youth, families, teachers, and administrators.
  • Good computer and technology skills.
  • Willing to accept other job duties as assigned.
Driving and Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Good driving record.
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
