Harbor is seeking a Behaviour Health Tech to join the Toledo team. This position is responsible for providing direct care to residents, overseeing daily activities, household operations, and maintaining clinical records regarding resident behavior.

Employment Details

Part‑time, 24 hours per week. 3rd shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m.) with rotating weekends.

Open to female applicants only – bona‑fide occupational qualification under Title VII.

Education / Experience / Other Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
    Medical Assistant Certification or Bachelor’s degree in a human‑services field preferred.
  • Experience with or training in the delivery of behavioral health services preferred.
  • Minimum age 23; valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance for first and second shift employees. Third‑shift employees not required to drive. Must remain up to date on annual Defensive Driving for 15‑Passenger Vans training.
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI certifications required within 90 days of employment.
Essential Job Competencies / Primary Duties
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining client’s daily household assignments, schedules, and activities.
  • Ensure and monitor client appointments with outside providers and social activities as determined by job assignment and in accordance with driving policies.
  • Monitor and document client activities through hourly check logs, providing specific information and observations of resident needs and inappropriate behaviors to the clinical team when necessary. Know whereabouts of clients while on duty, enforcing rules and program expectations.
  • Prepare and send shift report at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical records nightly and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct room and building searches as scheduled to ensure safety.
  • Conduct randomized urinalysis and input data into assigned lab software for further testing.
  • Know individualized care plans and provide support to residents according to those plans. Contribute to care‑planning by sharing specific information and observations with the clinical team.
  • Handle meals and serve clients to ensure proper portions.
  • Conduct smoke breaks in accordance with the smoking policy.
  • Conduct intake assessment with potential clients seeking programming.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety and infection‑control procedures, including hand washing, use of disposable gloves, and proper disposal of soiled materials.
  • Maintain courtesy and professionalism with staff and clients.
  • Understand and maintain professional boundaries in client interactions.
  • Complete all scheduled tasks and care of residents and the facility (including maintenance and cleaning).
  • Be available for back‑up and emergency shift coverage as needed; able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and personal service networks.
  • Complete initial and annual Relias trainings.
