The Toledo Clinic is seeking a part-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to perform both clinical and clerical duties.

This position will be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (7:45am - 4:00pm). The office is located on our main campus (4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH)

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General

Summary:

Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepare patients for physician(s), and perform various clerical duties.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Dr. with patient care (e.g., assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
  • Perform various clerical duties (e.g., answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
  • Escort patients to exam rooms.
  • Prepare exam rooms.
  • Sterilize and prepare instruments.
  • Call in prescription refills at the physician's request.
  • Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
  • Follow up with lab work and/or X-rays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
  • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co‑workers as needed.
  • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e., CMA or RMA).
Education:

Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.

Preferred:
  • Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
