Therapist/Counselor at Racing for RecoveryJob Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct a thorough diagnostic assessment using interviews, observation of participants, gather information from collateral sources, and testing.
- Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, staff-in services, and ongoing training.
- Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and complete necessary updates as required.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the legal and healthcare systems.
- Provides intervention/treatment; conducts adult, family, and group therapeutic series with the scope of practice; provides competent series adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards in accordance with state regulations and Racing for Recovery’s policies.

- LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC-CS, LICDC-S in Ohio and maintain all required hours for license renewal.
- CARF accreditation experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and counseling techniques
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgement.
- Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of ASAM level of care.
- Proven experience in providing mental health counseling and therapy services.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation and record keeping practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
