Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

• A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at Pro Medica plays a vital role in the health and safety of patients every day.
• From caring for patients to performing clerical services, a PCT helps all members of the Pro Medica health care team while complying with standards, procedures and policies.
• The PCT assists the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data and other processes related to direct patient care.
• The PCT also ensures an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning properly.
• In this role, you will perform tasks related to scheduling procedures, coordinating admission as well as discharge and transfer processes.
• PCTs answer phones, take messages and direct calls.
• You will also pick up and deliver specimens, documents and other items to contribute to operational efficiency.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills, ability to read and write, and communicate or respond to inquiries.
• CPR certification prior to performing direct care; training provided.
• Previous experience in a medical setting (preferred).

Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, clerical services, and compliance with health care standards. Capable of coordinating patient procedures and ensuring operational efficiency within a medical setting.
