Toledo Clinic's Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and clerical support in a busy Adult Neurology Office located at 4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH. The hours are Monday
- Friday (8:00-5:00 or 9:00-5:30). Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
GeneralSummary
Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Escorting patients to exam room.
- Assists providers with patient care.
- Preparing exam rooms.
- Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
- Various clerical duties (phones, schedule appointments)
- At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
- Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
- Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
- Administering injections.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA, CCMA, RMA)
- Medicare Exclusion List
- Adheres to clinic's policies and procedures.
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.
- Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
