The Toledo Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support. This position will work in our Family Practice office located on Holland-Sylvania Rd in Toledo OH. This position is 2-3 days per week with office hours of Monday-Thursday (8:30-5:00) and Friday (8:30-1:00). No weekends, holidays or late evening hours.
Qualified candidates will have an MA diploma/certificate along with an MA credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA). Candidates that are able to obtain the MA credential within 60 days of hire will also be considered.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
GeneralSummary
Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
- Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
- Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
- Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
- Escorting patients to exam room.
- Preparing exam rooms.
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
- At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
- Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
- Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
- Completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.
