Job Summary:

Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment. The role involves working across multiple units within a regional healthcare system, including critical care and emergency settings, with an emphasis on invasive and non-invasive ventilation management.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation therapies, including intubation and extubation assistance.
• Perform cardiopulmonary procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling, sputum collection, and pulmonary hygiene.
• Respond to emergency codes and rapid response situations, providing life-support interventions such as CPR.
• Monitor and adjust oxygen delivery systems and ventilator settings, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Facilitate pediatric and adult respiratory therapy care, including airway management, suctioning, and medication delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• OH RRT license in hand required; pending license acceptable prior to start.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care respiratory therapy experience, with high-risk or critical care exposure preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and relevant state licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency with respiratory equipment including Servo I, Avea, Bella Vista, and Epic charting system.
• Comfortable floating within the region and adapting to various clinical settings.
• Ability to perform pediatric respiratory procedures and respond to emergency situations.
