Position Summary
The HR Generalist provides front-line HR support to employees and leaders while serving as a key partner to HR Business Partners, HR Managers, and HR Directors. This role applies HR policies and practices to address employee and business needs, exercises independent judgment in resolving routine employee relations matters, and partners with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver consistent and effective HR solutions.
The HR Generalist also contributes to departmental initiatives and supports continuous improvement efforts across HR processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line HR support to employees and managers, independently resolving routine issues and determining when escalation is required.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to support consistent and compliant decision-making.
- Support HR Business Partners, HR Managers, and HR Directors in executing talent and organizational initiatives within the business.
- Coordinate with COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Leave, HRIS) to deliver HR solutions and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Conduct initial review and assessment of employee relations matters, providing recommendations and escalating complex or high-risk issues.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain HR data integrity and analyze basic trends to support decision-making and reporting.
- Assist with HR programs, communications, and implementation of initiatives across the business.
- Participate in and contribute to HR department projects, including process improvements and program rollouts.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or a Combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2-3 years of progressive HR experience.
- Ability to interpret policies and apply judgment in resolving employee and business issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and recommend appropriate actions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support employees and managers effectively.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Travel Requirements:
- No travel required (stationary work location).
Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:
- Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt).
Physical Requirements:
- Normal office environment.
- Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
