IT Manager; Client

Rehmann is searching for an IT Manager for our client, Shrader Tire & Oil.

Founded in 1948 in Toledo, Ohio, Shrader Tire & Oil is a family‑owned business known for its commitment to values like honesty, integrity, and dedication. Over three generations, the company has expanded significantly, particularly into the commercial trucking market. Today, Shrader Tire & Oil operates 15 truck tire and fleet service centers, two Michelin retread plants, and a large bulk lubricant operation, establishing itself as the premier tire and lubricant distributor in the Midwest.

This is a hands‑on IT Manager role that will provide the candidate with the unique opportunity to use the full range of their skills and creative out‑of‑the‑box thinking to develop ideas and solutions to further the IT department and business operations. The IT Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the company’s computer and information systems.

They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technology infrastructure, implementing policies, and driving strategic IT initiatives.

• Manage and evaluate all technology operations, including ERP, network security, system maintenance, and software development.
• Ensure that technology functions align with established goals and objectives.
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support strategies set by upper management.
• Analyze business requirements across departments to determine technology needs.
• Purchase efficient and cost‑effective technological equipment and software.
• Inspect the use of technological resources to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management.
• Control the IT budget and provide expenditure reports.
• Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals.
• Build relationships with vendors and create cost‑efficient contracts.

• At least 5 years previous experience as an IT Director or in a similar leadership role.
• Expertise in analyzing, implementing, and evaluating IT systems and their specifications.
• A sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and infrastructure.
• Prior experience with ERP data base management and report writing or coding.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage complex projects.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide your team effectively.
• Outstanding communication abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree (MSc/MA) is a plus.
