About the RoleThe Director, Global Supply Chain (Glass Reinforcements) is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving an integrated global supply chain. This leader drives enterprise‑wide performance across service, cost, working capital, and growth by connecting long‑term strategy to daily execution through a disciplined Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) and Sales & Operations Execution (SOE) framework.
Reporting to the Director, Global Sourcing & Supply Chain, this role leads a global, matrixed organization and serves as the business owner for supply chain transformation initiatives, including the implementation and adoption of SAP S/4
HANA. The position requires strong business acumen, operational rigor, and the ability to influence across a complex, global organization.
Global Business & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with business and functional leaders to translate strategic priorities into supply chain outcomes (service, cost, working capital, resilience)
- Drive alignment across competing objectives, ensuring clarity on tradeoffs and commitments
- Establish governance, operating cadence, and performance management routines across the global supply chain
- Own and lead the global SOP process, ensuring high‑quality inputs, scenario planning, and executive‑ready decision support
- Align demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and financial plans
- Improve forecasting accuracy and planning maturity through data and analytics
- Lead the SOE operating rhythm to translate plans into daily and weekly execution
- Manage constraints, risks, and recovery plans to protect service and operational performance
- Build a culture of accountability, visibility, and rapid issue resolution
- Lead global network optimization across manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and inventory deployment
- Develop and execute strategies for footprint, flows, and inventory positioning
- Partner cross-functionally to improve cost‑to‑serve and service performance
- Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing global team
- Establish succession planning and capability‑building strategies
- Foster an inclusive, accountable, and performance‑driven culture
- Drive continuous improvement across planning, customer service, logistics, and inventory management
- Standardize processes, implement controls, and enhance performance visibility
- Simplify operations to enable scale and efficiency
HANA)
- Lead supply chain transformation strategy across ERP and planning systems
- Serve as the business owner for SAP S/4
HANA supply chain work streams - Ensure data integrity, process standardization, and successful adoption
- Oversee testing, cutover, stabilization, and ongoing optimization
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain or operations
- Experience in multi‑site manufacturing and distribution environments
- Proven ownership of SOP and leadership of SOE processes
- Strong track record in network optimization and logistics strategy
- Experience leading large‑scale transformation and ERP implementations (SAP S/4
HANA preferred) - Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen
- Demonstrated success building and developing high‑performing teams
- Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or Business); MBA or MS preferred
