Purchasing & Warehouse Coordinator
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for a Purchasing & Warehouse Coordinator for a glass manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing, inventory, or warehouse professional to join a growing team and play a key role in supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing, receiving, inventory coordination, vendor communication, and warehouse support.
This role combines administrative organization with hands-on involvement in material flow to ensure products and supplies are available when needed. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate based on performance, attendance, business needs, and overall fit within the company. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience, as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support purchasing activities including purchase orders, vendor follow-up, order confirmations, and purchasing documentation
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, order status, shortages, substitutions, and delivery schedules
- Maintain vendor records, item information, and purchasing documentation
- Support MRO purchasing and ensure production and maintenance supplies are available
- Monitor open purchase orders and material needs to support production schedules
- Coordinate material scheduling and deliveries with vendors, customers, and supply chain partners
- Communicate material availability, delivery timing, and inventory needs with internal teams
- Assist with resolving receiving discrepancies, missing documentation, and material questions
- Support communication between purchasing, receiving, warehouse, production, and customer service teams
- Assist with receiving materials, verifying documentation, labeling, and staging
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory updates
- Pick and stage materials for production and customer needs
- Prepare and apply labels for materials, jobs, and warehouse locations
- Support warehouse organization, material movement, and housekeeping
- Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, receiving, and vendor records
- Enter and update information in company systems, spreadsheets, and shared files
- Provide administrative support to operations and customer service teams as needed
- Maintain organized documentation and follow company procedures
Requirements and
Qualifications:
- Previous purchasing, receiving, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing support experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience communicating with vendors, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on open items
- Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets, inventory systems, and document management
- Forklift experience preferred; willingness to complete training if needed
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and communicate issues appropriately
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments
