Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Manager for Pro Medica Health System located in Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions for our Nutrition and Environmental Services department including employee relations, orientation, investigations, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Travel Requirement:

This position involves regular regional travel to multiple sites and locations. Candidates should be prepared to spend time on the road visiting different facilities, ensuring consistent support and collaboration across the region. Reliable transportation and flexibility to accommodate varying schedules are essential.

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.

What You’ll Do
  • Demonstrates strong independent judgment by managing HR operations, resolving employee concerns, and driving recruitment and compliance activities with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and accurate decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Recruit and onboard frontline hires using onboarding systems.
  • Possess knowledge of state and federal HR laws.
  • Maintain active and terminated employee files.
  • Coordinate and conduct required monthly training.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills for phone conversations and email responses.
  • Possess strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Understand and respect sensitive and confidential information.
  • Have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn additional programs.
  • Complete special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis.

What You Bring
  • Union experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Teams) and Smartsheet.
  • Able to create and facilitate training utilizing webinars.
  • Detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organization, communication and project management skills.
