Aligned with the strategies of the businesses, the director of indirect sourcing is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and procurement of all indirect materials, globally - including MRO, Energy, Corporate Services, and IT. Immediate focus of this role is to champion a new MRO operating model and cross functional stakeholder management for spend globally, lead a high performing team of sourcing professionals - inspiring innovation, reducing cost, and improve supplier quality across the enterprise.

Further, this role will utilize various industry information and benchmarking, draw upon knowledge of the global markets, interpret key stakeholder requirements, and leverage actionable data analytics in evaluating strategies, developing options, and executing tactics to deliver sustainable sourcing solutions.

As a member of the Global Sourcing Leadership Team, the director of indirect sourcing must demonstrate teamwork and commitment to the overall success of Owens Corning. Job Responsibilities

• Trusted Business Partner — Effectively manages stakeholders across the business to drive organizational change, build credibility and trust regarding all indirect spend with a specific active business transformation initiative in MRO.
• Persuades, enrolls and aligns internal and external stakeholders to a specific vision or desired outcomes; conveys opportunities to inspire action.
• Keeps customers in focus, participates in direct customer interaction, and understands customer issues across supply chain including specifications, raw materials, OC competitors or alternative products, energy and indirect spend.
• Manages supply base, inflation and savings forecasts in a data-driven manner, considering risks and allocating resources to mitigate supply risk.
• Partners with the VP of Global Sourcing, VPs of Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Sustainability; drives risk management actions with CRMC to meet business objectives.
• Inspires teamwork across segments and regions to maximize performance and talent development.
• Owns and drives enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Serves as a role model for growth, development, and conduct.
• Teaches financial acumen to enable financial-based decision making at all levels.
• Participates on various teams and supports initiatives outside Sourcing.
• Delivers metrics related to cost reductions, supplier risk management, inflation forecasts, and visibility to GMs on P&L and balance sheets.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Builds intimate knowledge of critical supplier base and ensures operations align with global supplier code of conduct and OC values.
• Provides leadership to indirect Sourcing to deliver productivity through supplier collaboration.
• Develops strong relationships with key suppliers at appropriate levels; conducts supplier visits to assess capabilities and priorities.
• Manages supplier governance and continuous improvement across OC/supplier relationships and results.
• Leads supplier management for business including: key account management, performance management, supplier recognition, and sustainability initiatives.
• Leads negotiation and codification of key contractual relationships when appropriate.

Developing and Executing Strategy

• Develops and executes strategy to centralize MRO spend and create efficient channels, collaborating with energy, IT, and Corporate Services leadership.
• Keeps a forward-looking view of trends; ensures sourcing is a competitive advantage by maintaining global visibility and aligning sourcing with business strategies.
• Ensures supply security at the best economics and supports sustainability initiatives with the supply base.

Metrics

• Industry memberships and leadership in associations; category sourcing from contract; adherence to OC Supplier Code of Conduct; risk profiles of European supply base; LOA policy adherence.
• Performance measures include savings, inflation management, supplier risk mitigation, and supply base auditing processes.
• Forecasts and financial metrics tied to P&L visibility for GMs.

• Leading and developing global talent; designs organization to create complete roles with development opportunities.
• Performance management, succession planning, and diversity in team building.
