Assistant Director Student Financial Aid & Programming

UToledo is hiring an Assistant Director Student Financial Aid & Programming. This role manages student financial aid compliance and administration for graduate and professional students, providing counseling, financial literacy education, and collaboration across university departments and external agencies. It oversees Satisfactory Academic Progress and resolves complex aid processing and eligibility issues while promoting financial education and service quality.

• Manage compliance with federal, state, and institutional student financial aid regulations.
• Oversee Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process and graduate/professional aid administration.
• Provide counseling and financial literacy presentations to students, families, and university staff.
• Maintain financial aid websites and forms.
• Collaborate with various colleges, departments, and external entities to provide financial education.
• Requires bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 2+ years of financial aid experience; experience with graduate/professional students required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and institutional student aid policies and eligibility.
• Advanced computer and accounting knowledge preferred; experience with reporting and data analysis.
• Leadership experience managing employees and programs required; 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Salary range: $60,500 - $63,000 annually.
