Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Production Supervisor to our team to support our continued growth.

Schedule:

1st Shift

Hours:

5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This position works a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts. The schedule follows a two-week rotation:

  • Week 1:
    Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days
  • Week 2:
    Off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days

This rotation includes every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Employees work approximately 84 hours over a two-week pay period.

Please note:

This role requires availability for 12-hour day shifts and adherence to a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

* Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Enforce safety regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors and operators.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
  • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role required.
  • Experience with high volume resistance welding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with robotic welding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check, drug screen).
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Report for work on time to support production startup.
  • Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
  • Could be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching and periodically lifting.
  • Able to work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
