Robot Weld Technician – Day Shift - 2-2-3 - FANUC Robotic Experience Needed!

Shift: 5AM - 5PM - 2-2-3 DAYS ONLY

Pay: $25.00/hr.

- $32.00/hr. (Dependent on experience) 1.5 x After 40 hours

PTO
- Skilled trades get 80 hours (prorated based on hire date) for their first two years, and then when they hit the year of their 3rd anniversary PTO increases by 8 hours that year and every year

MUST HAVES TO BE CONSIDERED:

  • Ability to manually move and maneuver robots by placing them in manual mode and using a teach pendant to bring the robot back to home position.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial robots in a production environment. (minimum 6 months as of recent)
  • Ability to read and interpret HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens to monitor system status and diagnose issues.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems, including setup, operation, and maintenance.

Job Description

This role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic welding systems used to fabricate metal products and assemblies. You will ensure weld quality, troubleshoot and repair robots and weld cells, and support efficient, safe, and reliable production operations on a high-volume automotive stamping line.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and tend robotic welding machines to join or bond components and fabricate metal products or assemblies according to specifications.
  • Inspect, measure, and test completed metal work pieces using measuring and testing devices to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct issues on robots and weld cells to restore proper operation.
  • Identify and resolve robot issues such as failure to pick up parts, mobility problems, improper bead thickness, or failure to return to home position.
  • Perform repairs on weld cells, including fixing weld faults, changing welding tips, replacing sensors, and completing other necessary mechanical or electrical adjustments.
  • Communicate clearly with and provide direction to other operators regarding machine setup, safe operation, and best practices.
  • Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools to maintain efficient and reliable operation.
  • Conduct machine run-offs before placing equipment into production, performing any required adjustments to ensure proper function and quality.
  • Observe meters, gauges, and machine operations to ensure processes meet established specifications and production requirements.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems and associated machines to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot Fanuc robots and some Panasonic robots using appropriate tools, diagnostics, and documentation.
  • Use teach pendants to manually manipulate robots, including returning robots to home position and adjusting paths or motions as needed.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and mechanical assembly documentation to support setup, repair, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Utilize HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens to monitor system status, identify faults, and assist with troubleshooting and adjustments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
