Our client is looking for an Injection Mold Process Technician to join their team in Toledo, OH.
This position pays between $34 - $39/hour DOE.
SpecificJob Duties
- Support processes and other activities consistent with departmental expectations and goals.
- Initiate machine processes, adjust within process tolerances and recommend any changes for improved efficiencies.
- Participate in all tool changes and setup of auxiliary equipment.
- Make the proper connections to the tools (water, hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic, and electrical).
- Assist with setting up and loading material into the material delivery system as needed.
- Troubleshoot the injection presses, EOA’s, ATIs, and robots.
- Continually monitor all processes related to injection molding.
- Analyze and resolve any process problems, resolve any product non-conformity issues that may arise, and record any changes or findings correctly into monitoring log.
- Conform to the implementation of continuous process improvement in the molding department.
- Maintain and terminate flow of material to the injection presses and blenders using the automated material delivery system, or the process of manually loading.
- Ensure correct resin/colorant conveyance to all molding presses, while maintaining the calibration, program setting, and upkeep of material hoppers and weight bins.
- Transport bins of scrap, partial resin gaylords, spent purges along with other related items or material.
- Monitor, record, track, and report silo fills, gaylord deliveries and any other related paperwork.
- Understand the mold schedule and electronic mold changeover board.
- Conduct and complete resin inventory as needed.
- Achieve and maintain crane safety certification.
- Clean material system filters, hoppers, blenders, and piping as needed.
- Maintain scrap resin granulation, weight tracking, and regrind usage.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area.
- Knowledge and use of QMS IATF
16949 documents. - Provide feedback to improve current processes to reduce non-conformances.
- Participate in QRPS’s or other problem-solving events.
- Address and/or report all hazards, defective equipment, and unsafe work conditions.
- Follow documented escalation processes for scrap, downtime, and emergencies.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Associate degree in a technical field of study preferred.
- Three years’ work-related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
- Three years minimum molding experience required.
- Must have experience processing plastics and setting tools.
- Knowledge of robot programming and troubleshooting a must.
