CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist Shift/Pay/Additional Information:
- 1st shift Mon
- Fri 6a to 2:30p (they can be flexible on hours and start times) - Averaging 40-45 hrs a week.
- $28 to $35 in pay. They are open on pay it is based on skill.

This role focuses on setting up and operating CNC lathes or Mills to machine large blocks, weldments, and plate work in a job shop environment. You will handle your own setups, run the machines, perform precision measurements, and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities- Lathe Machinist:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, typically running one machine at a time to produce precision parts.
- Machine large blocks, weldments, and plate work using 2-axis CNC lathe equipment.
- Perform 3-D machining as required for complex parts and dies.
- Mill Machinist:
- Fanuc controls
- Makino, Doosan, YCM, HAAS - Perform their own set ups and operating on the machines
- In this role they will be machining large blocks, weldments and plate work
- Machine has 4 axis; 1 is a spindle
- BOTH POSITIONS:
- Program parts using Mastercam and apply G and M codes to execute machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and prints to determine machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Use digital and standard manual micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on parts, including micrometer readings, caliper measurements, gauges, and visual inspection.
- Drill and tap holes according to print specifications.
- Change and adjust tooling as needed to maintain part quality and meet production requirements.
- Adjust speeds and feeds on parts to optimize machining performance and surface finish.
- Use basic computer applications to track progress of parts and document work as needed.
- Collaborate with team members in a job shop environment to support machining of parts for large dies across multiple industries.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
