Salary
: $130-140K DOE + annual bonus
The Vice President, Social Media & Community will be the senior leader responsible for shaping and scaling the agency’s social, influencer, and community engagement practice across a diverse client portfolio. You will blend strategy, creativity, and analytics to help brands build credibility, affinity, and advocacy in an environment of constant technological and cultural change.
In this role, you will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to design integrated programs that connect every audience interaction — from awareness and reputation through engagement and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead the evolution of the agency’s social media, influencer marketing, and community engagement offerings in line with client needs, platform changes, and consumer behavior.
- Develop holistic social ecosystems for clients that drive conversation, engagement, and long-term brand advocacy.
- Oversee social content strategy, influencer partnerships, and community initiatives that turn brand narratives into meaningful, two‑way interactions.
- Collaborate with creative, media, PR, and analytics teams to ensure ideas and campaigns work cohesively across earned, owned, and paid channels.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high‑performing team of social strategists, community managers, and influencer marketing specialists.
- Act as a senior thought partner to both internal teams and clients on emerging platforms, technologies, and cultural shifts that can unlock new opportunities.
- Establish clear KPIs, measurement frameworks, and learning agendas in partnership with analytics resources to continuously optimize performance and demonstrate impact.
- Contribute to new business efforts and high‑level client presentations by representing the social and community discipline with confidence and clarity.
- 12+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, digital communications, or closely related disciplines.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams within an agency or consultancy environment.
- Proven success designing and executing social and influencer programs that build community, drive engagement, and support business objectives.
- Deep, hands‑on understanding of major social platforms (e.g., Meta, Tik Tok, You Tube, X, Linked In, Reddit, Discord, Pinterest) and how they work together within integrated earned/owned/paid strategies.
- Experience overseeing content planning, publishing, social care/community management, and influencer activations at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands‑on contributor when needed.
- Comfort presenting to senior executives, leading strategic discussions, and simplifying complex ideas for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience in organizational design, talent development, and building roadmaps for team growth and capability expansion.
