Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP position requiring high-risk labor and delivery experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital LDRP setting with 10 labor, delivery, recovery rooms, 2 triage beds, 3 recovery room beds, 2 operating rooms, and 20 Mother/Baby rooms
• Primarily assigned to Labor & Delivery; floating to Mother/Baby unit as needed
• Handles high-risk labor and delivery cases with an average of 125 deliveries per month
• Philips Avalon and OBIX used for fetal monitoring; experience preferred
• Night 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Dysrhythmia (EKG) exam required on first day; study guide provided
• 24/7 in-house OB resident, anesthesia, and NICU team for high-risk deliveries
• Responsible for providing comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients and their newborns
• Participates as part of an interdisciplinary maternal and neonatal care team
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam on the first day with up to two attempts allowed
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within this distance are not eligible
• Holiday coverage is required according to department schedule
• Scrubbing for C-sections may be required
• NCC-EFM certification is preferred for those interpreting fetal monitoring but not mandatory

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NCC-EFM certification preferred
• Minimum two years of recent LDRP experience required
• Experience in Level 3 or Level 4 maternity care preferred
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
• Ability to scrub for C-sections preferred
