- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays
- Technology: Philips Avalon fetal monitoring, OBIX
- Support: 24/7 OB resident and anesthesia; NICU attendance for high-risk deliveries; unit clerk
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1800–$1890
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required; high-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- License: Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license (multistate)
- Certifications (Required): BLS, NRP
- Certifications (Preferred): ACLS; NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC-EFM); experience in Level 3 or Level 4 maternity care
- Key Skills: Maternal/newborn assessment, emergency response, patient/family education, and teamwork in a high-acuity obstetrics environment
- Provide evidence-based Labor & Delivery nursing care across the intrapartum and immediate postpartum continuum, including high-risk obstetric patients
- Perform OB triage, prioritization, and ongoing maternal/fetal assessments; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Interpret and respond to electronic fetal monitoring (EFM); communicate changes promptly to the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely within RN scope and standards of practice
- Assist with vaginal exams, labor support, and emergency interventions, including resuscitation and stabilization of the mother/fetal dyad
- Support deliveries and coordinate care with OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams for high-risk cases
- Float to Mother/Baby as needed; provide breastfeeding support, newborn care education, and discharge teaching
- Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives; maintain accurate, timely documentation
