The Air Operations Manager functions as an expert in the field of air and ground medical transportation. The Air Operations Manger coordinates the operations to include clinical components with the PTN educators support. Assumes twenty‑four (24) hour responsibility including budget and coordination of quality care of patients. Manages staff related to the delivery of patient care within a multi-tiered transportation network.

Assists the Medical Director with the administration of transport services in collaboration with the Ground Operations Manager, specialists, medical teams, and ancillary departments to ensure comprehensive care to all levels of patients spanning the age continuum, including critical care and out‑of‑hospital. Manages department educators and education program.

Skills:

Knowledge in Air and Ground transportation: competent to expert skill level. Communicates in an effective, caring, and professional manner with all members of the multidisciplinary team. Reflects the mission and values of Pro Medica Health System. Knowledge in EMS radio communication, air safety requirements, CAMTS accreditation requirements, and quality metrics.

Years of

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of progressive clinical experience in a critical care setting or emergency environment.

License:
Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio and State of Michigan, Must have EMT-Paramedic license or attain with twenty four (24) months of hire date

Certification:
Must have and maintain BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, PEPP, TNCC, and ITLS.
