Job Overview
Assistant Director of Nursing – LPN. Full‑time position at Wallick Communities. The role focuses on providing exceptional nursing services, managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting residents’ quality of life.
Responsibilities- Will work the floor at times and oversee the med cart.
- Scheduled to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- On‑call rotation with Director of Care.
- Manage supervisory and nursing support personnel.
- Reviews staff performance and ensures adherence to state standards of quality care.
- Ensures adequate staffing for all shifts.
- Assists with day‑to‑day functions within the nursing department and makes rounds during patient checks.
- Assists with care plans and assessments; sits in care conferences.
- Identifies and addresses quality‑assurance audit issues.
- Trains new nursing staff.
- Communicates effectively written and verbally with residents, staff, management, and families.
- Responds to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
- Makes decisions that impact overall facility operations.
- Valid Ohio nursing license.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
- Flexible, compassionate, and dependable.
- Strong communication skills in writing and verbally with co‑workers, residents, families, and business partners.
