Job Overview

Assistant Director of Nursing – LPN. Full‑time position at Wallick Communities. The role focuses on providing exceptional nursing services, managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Will work the floor at times and oversee the med cart.
  • Scheduled to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
  • On‑call rotation with Director of Care.
  • Manage supervisory and nursing support personnel.
  • Reviews staff performance and ensures adherence to state standards of quality care.
  • Ensures adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Assists with day‑to‑day functions within the nursing department and makes rounds during patient checks.
  • Assists with care plans and assessments; sits in care conferences.
  • Identifies and addresses quality‑assurance audit issues.
  • Trains new nursing staff.
  • Communicates effectively written and verbally with residents, staff, management, and families.
  • Responds to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
  • Makes decisions that impact overall facility operations.
Qualifications
  • Valid Ohio nursing license.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Flexible, compassionate, and dependable.
  • Strong communication skills in writing and verbally with co‑workers, residents, families, and business partners.
