Advanced Practice Provider - Neurosurgery | Mercy Health Toledo

Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing inpatient Neurosurgery team cent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly collaborative Neuroscience Institute where physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, residents, and support staff work together to provide exceptional care for patients across Northwest Ohio. Whether you are an experienced APP or looking to expand your expertise in a specialized neuroscience setting, you will be supported by a team that values mentorship, professional growth, and patient-centered care.

• Full-time inpatient position
• Three 12‑hour shifts per week
• Day shift schedule (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
• Minimum of one weekend per month
• No routine call responsibilities currently required
• Comprehensive orientation and training provided

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
• Participate in daily inpatient rounds
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the neurosurgical team
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing and treatments
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient response
• Provide patient and family education
• Coordinate care transitions and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, nurses, therapists, and ancillary teams to deliver high‑quality care

Nurse Practitioner

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Ohio licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Board certification
• DEA eligibility
• BLS and ACLS certification

Physician Assistant

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Ohio licensure or eligibility for licensure
• DEA eligibility
• BLS and ACLS certification
