Nurse Practitioner - Endocrinology

Position: NURSE PRACTITIONER - ENDOCRINOLOGY
We are seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join our endocrinology department! Prior experience working in endocrinology is a must!

General Summary

Educate and advise patients, diagnose and treat health problems, and provide general health care under the direction of the Physician.

Works under the supervision of Physician(s).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.

* Obtain comprehensive patient histories.

* Perform physical examinations.

* Diagnose and treat health care and chronic diseases.

* Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab work and x-rays.

* Assess patients. Develop and implement treatment plans approved by physician.

* Promotes positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling.

* Administer medication upon order of physician.

* Collaborate with physicians as needed.

Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

* Other treatments and/or procedures after consulting with or under the supervision of the physician.

* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required:

* Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.

* Completes all tasks within established time frame.

* Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.

* Active and appropriate state Nurse Practitioner licensure.

* Knowledge of Physician Assistant theory, practice and medical care, medical equipment and instruments, and OSHA regulations.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to analyze and determine solutions in order to best serve the patients.

* BLS or CPR certification.

Education:

* Master's degree from an accredited school.
