Adjunct STNA Program Instructor – Part Time
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current unencumbered Ohio license is required. Knowledge of the Ohio Nursing Practice Act/Rules/Regulations, Ohio Nurse Aide scope of practice, and the ODH standards for NATCEP is essential. Experience caring for the chronically ill and elderly, including safety standards and hazards in a healthcare setting, is required.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver lecture and lab material to groups of up to 30 students.
- Supervise and instruct students in skill laboratory and clinical settings.
- Operate electric hospital beds, mechanical lifts, and other patient care safety equipment.
- Document student performance and maintain required academic records.
- Serve in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment, providing leadership and mentoring.
- Collaborate with program staff to meet curriculum and competency standards.
- RN or LPN with an active, unencumbered Ohio license.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience and 12 months caring for the chronically ill or elderly.
- Current Train‑the‑Trainer (TTT) certification for Ohio/NATCEP, or willingness to complete the course.
- American Heart Association CPR/HCP certification (minimum 12 months of appropriate experience).
- Optional: BLS certification for clinical teaching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Leadership, mentoring, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Prior experience as a Program Instructor for NATCEP within the last 2 years is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice Acts, safety standards, and caregiving for the chronically ill and elderly.
- Hourly, period activity pay; part‑time, adjunct position.
- Job classified as faculty duty; FLSA status:
Non‑Exempt.
