APC Psych St. Charles

Mercy Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient behavioral health team at Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital, located just outside Toledo, Ohio.

This is a full time opportunity to join an established and collaborative team caring for adults in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Our approach is centered on providing safe, compassionate care while helping patients stabilize and successfully transition to their next level of care.

The Opportunity

• Four 10 hour shifts each week
• Approximately 15 to 20 patients per day
• Inpatient psychiatric care for adults
• Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Acute stabilization and treatment planning
• Discharge planning and coordination of care
• Collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists
• Call is available, but not required

Your Team

You will join an established behavioral health team with 3 physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians. Our providers work closely together, and many patients are cared for collaboratively by a psychiatrist and advanced practice provider. Physician collaboration and mentorship are available. New graduates are welcome to be considered. Experience with patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred.
