Join the City of Toledo’s seasonal crew to support fall clean-up efforts. As a Leaf Pick-Up Laborer
, you’ll work outdoors with city crews to rake and shovel leaves and debris into trucks and equipment. This is a physically active, hands‑on role that helps keep our city clean and safe during the fall season.

• Rake and shovel leaves and fall debris into trucks and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
• Report to the Central Avenue base daily and be ready to work after orientation.

• Must provide and wear steel-toe safety shoes

• Must dress appropriately for outdoor work (no sweatpants, yoga pants, or jeans with holes).
• Must be able to work 10-hour days, 6-7 days per week.
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must use biometric fingerprint clock-in/out system.

• Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half for hours over 40/week.
• No double-time pay for Sundays.
• Holiday Work: Required to work Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
• Weather Policy: Work may be delayed or canceled due to snow/ice.
• PPE Provided: Hard hat, safety vest, gloves (gloves optional).
• Rain gear must be self-provided; safety vest must remain visible.
