Direct Hire Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving quality processes and products while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities- Manage the internal audit function for the quality system
- Utilize audit findings to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage documentation and change management systems
- Participate in cross-functional teams developing PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions
- Perform MSA studies and capability analysis on gauges and equipment
- Investigate and resolve quality concerns, including customer returns
- Assist and coach team members on statistical analysis techniques
- Support process improvements through data collection and analysis
- Conduct process capability studies and quality audits
- Participate in customer visits, reviews, and quality meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Experience with:
- PFMEA
- Process Control Plans
- Corrective Actions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Knowledge of APQP and program management methodologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and 2–5 years of related experience
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of quality statistics and data analysis
- Certified Quality Auditor (IATF 16949) preferred or ability to obtain certification within one year
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems
- Manufacturing Process Auditing
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Automotive Industry Quality Standards
