Quality Technician – 1st Shift
We are seeking a Quality Technician to support our 1st shift at Bennett Road. This is a full‑time position based in Toledo, Ohio. You will be responsible for performing First/Last Piece audits, inspecting and measuring parts, accepting or rejecting finished items, maintaining the check fixture area, and ensuring quality standards. When necessary, you may also perform weld operator duties during downtime.
Schedule& Compensation
- Schedule:
1st shift, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM - 12‑hour rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule over two weeks (includes every other weekend)
- Starting pay $19.50/hour, weekly pay
- 10 paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, full medical, dental and vision benefits
- At least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the United States, able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Six months of manufacturing experience, preferably in quality; welding background a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to read and use gauges and measuring instruments.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, consistent attendance, willingness to learn, safety‑minded.
- Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance.
- Accept or reject finished items.
- Inspect, test or measure metal stampings; perform weld destruct when needed.
- Input and report data generated from audits into software programs.
- Organize and maintain the check fixture area.
- Interpret engineering drawings and consult management on quality and reliability standards.
- Red‑tag containers with nonconforming parts and establish clean points between good and suspect product.
- Perform essential job functions of Weld Operator during significant downtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.
