What You’ll Do

As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet internal and external quality specifications while supporting Mennel’s food safety programs and commitment to delivering superior quality, uniformity, and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform routine testing and accurately analyze samples for internal and external customers.
  • Report testing results and promptly communicate quality, safety, and security concerns to the appropriate team members and Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot testing equipment while maintaining accurate calibration logs.
  • Perform monthly intra-laboratory check samples to support testing accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow all food safety and personal safety requirements, including GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area while completing assigned sanitation duties.
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in cereal science, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, analytical instrumentation, microbiology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to learn and perform routine laboratory testing and accurately document results.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and company software systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to changing work duties and priorities.
