Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Toledo, OH 43615

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may assist with other products from partners in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.50–$14.50 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
  • Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are 6–15 per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities Will Include

You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology for daily activities, communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and respond to required merchandising surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be expected to work additional days and extended hours. On certain holidays you may work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    At times you may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments and may work evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support each other’s territories when needed.
  • Physical Requirements

    This physically demanding job requires high energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

    Basic Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
    • Must be able to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Able to operate a digital handheld device for document access and data interpretation.
    • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
