Job Overview
The Regional Sales Representative (RSR) is a consultative sales role responsible for driving profitable business with targeted accounts by working with end users and all levels of the distributor network. The RSR manages territory, identifies and qualifies customer needs, develops new sales opportunities, and optimizes existing accounts to increase product market share and new product sales.
Responsibilities- Develop total sales for assigned product segment and SKUs within a defined geographic territory, meeting or exceeding the sales plan.
- Industrial MRO Product Lines: LPS, Dykem, SCRUBS, Dymon, Rustlick, Acculube, and Spray Nine.
- Develop distribution partner strategy, partnering with up to 80 distributor locations to grow revenue.
- Provide education, ride‑alongs, business reviews, open‑house participation, and co‑op marketing programs with marketing to build top‑of‑mind presence at distributors.
- Grow end‑user relationships, identify product conversion opportunities, coordinate product trials, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Reporting: communicate financial results and strategic intent within the territory.
- Use (SFDC) for all documentation, including funnel/pipeline management, SPA entry, CBI documentation, sales campaigns, and other requests from sales management.
- Coordinate open orders, shipping, accounts receivable, and ensure complete account management.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and business meetings as required.
- Support operations coverage and serve as backup for critical activities in ITW Pro Brands.
- Follow 80/20 prioritization and contribute to technical operations staff.
- Represent the company in audits and related meetings.
- Show integrity, trust, simplicity, respect, and shared risk in all interactions.
- Travel: 75 % or more of the time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of sales experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Strong written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.
- Experience conducting sales/product training in‑person or virtual.
- Proven record of meeting sales goals/quotas and closing new and existing customers.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and competitive analysis.
- Organizational, time‑management, and business administration skills.
- High emotional quotient and ability to relate to all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to achieving goals with urgency.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and initiative in key opportunities.
- Adaptability to change and unexpected events.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across the organization.
- Self‑starter, highly motivated, follows directions, works independently.
- Travel ability: 75 % or more, including overnight stays.
