What You'll Do:
The Adjutant General's Department is looking for an experienced, Maintenance Repair Worker 3 (There are 2 positions available) for the Toledo ANGB located at 2660 S. Eber Rd Swanton, Ohio 43558.
Successful candidates will have knowledge & safety practices pertaining to operation of maintenance tools.
* Serves as lead worker over lower-level maintenance repair workers in the performance of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work. Determines work priorities, assigns work tasks, and provides instruction in a timely manner.
* Performs semi-skilled and skilled carpentry repairs (e.g., doors, locks, cabinets, chairs, desks, floors, walls, windows, stairways and partitions, etc) Accomplishes minor painting projects.
* Operates and oversees operation of complex HVAC systems involving automated controls. Checks gauges and safety items on a routine basis, adjusts water levels, insures that buildings are heated properly.

Qualifications - External
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. Applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the application. The ideal candidate, at minimum, must meet the following criteria.
* Option 1:
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
* Option 2:
Demonstrate at least 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in maintenance repair (e.g., basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment).
* Must possess a Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
OR
* Option 3:
Demonstrate the equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required but not for the mandated licensure.

Unless required by legislation or union contract, external candidates can expect starting salary to be set at the lowest rate of the salary range with gradual increases during and/or after completing probation and following successful annual performance review periods, for applicable positions.
