Maintenance Technician Shift / Pay / Additional Information

  • Shift: 1st shift 7a to 3:30p
  • 40hrs a week to 45hrs
  • Pay: $34.85/hr
  • Monthly Incentive Bonus from 5% - 8%
  • Annual Merit increase of Pay around 2.5%
  • New Hires: one excused absence, 1 unpaid personal day every 90 days during first year
  • After 1 year anniversary: prorated vacation (~3 weeks)
  • Non-union
Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems with an emphasis on mechanical work and supporting electrical tasks. You will perform approximately 70% mechanical and 30% electrical maintenance on large presses, coil feeds, and related industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, with a primary focus on mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 1,200-ton presses and coil feeds, addressing both mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, belts, pulleys, rolls, chains, gearboxes, and cylinders.
  • Rebuild hydraulic systems and cylinders to restore equipment performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ranging from 480V three-phase down to 24V single-phase AC/DC, including sensors, starters, motor starters, control panels, and circuits.
  • Use volt meters and multimeters to safely test, diagnose, and verify electrical circuits and components.
  • Perform MIG and stick welding and fabrication to repair or modify equipment components and structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to identify issues and guide repairs and installations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes to keep material handling equipment in safe working condition.
  • Use man lifts to work at heights up to 30 feet while performing maintenance and repairs on elevated equipment and structures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including identifying leaks, failures, and performance issues.
  • Support machine repair activities to ensure presses, stamping equipment, and related machinery operate efficiently and safely.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document work performed on equipment and systems.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment, including fire-resistant uniforms and ear protection when working on metal stamping machines.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to prioritize work, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
