We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team and fill an immediate need. Openings in the Toledo, OH area.

Training period consists of shadowing and riding along with an experienced Technician. Length and duration of training period varies based on overall competence, however, approximately lasts 6 months. The first 1-2 weeks will consist of classroom instructional training. Must be on call 24/7 at least once every 6 weeks. Out of town/overnight travel offered, but not required.
Job Responsibilities:
You'll perform maintenance checks on cranes and fix any problems you find. It could be your job to monitor brake, power train, transmission and electrical systems to ensure proper performance and adherence to safety standards. If you work on industrial cranes, you should be familiar with the compliance requirements for the following organizations:
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- State and local industrial safety commissions
Your other responsibilities might include maintaining and inspecting overhead material-handling apparatuses, developing a maintenance schedule and keeping repair records. On modern cranes, you might also be trained to use diagnostic computers to determine which components need to be repaired or adjusted. Repairing a crane could involve dismantling the machine and its parts to clean, replace, fix and lubricate faulty components using hand‑held tools.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains crane operation by conducting periodic inspections, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and identifying and repairing according to OSHA, ANSI, and Mfg standards.
- Repairs and upgrades to overhead cranes by troubleshooting description of malfunction, conducting tests, identifying problems and resolutions. This troubleshooting will be on mechanical and electrical components
- Active communication with customers and office staff including the ability to provide thorough documentation and detailed analysis.
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Comfortable working at heights, occasional overtime, and in varied working conditions
Requirements:
As a Technician, you will be required to show a strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to trouble‑shoot 480
VAC 3 phase motor control systems.
Other requirements for the Service Technician include
- Advanced electrical knowledge & experience, mechanical capabilities, good driving record, ability to make decisions, problem solving skills, self‑motivated, and quality focused
- Welding experience is a plus
