Fleet Technician II

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician II to keep our delivery trucks and trailers operating safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas-powered vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment that power Sysco's large-scale food distribution network. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas-powered trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, brake, and cooling systems using diagnostic tools.
• Document all work performed in maintenance systems and maintain accurate repair records.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with drivers and operations teams to prioritize repairs and maintain fleet readiness.
• Assist with road calls and emergency repairs as needed to support delivery schedules.
• Keep shop, tools, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
