Under the general supervision performs skilled installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating equipment. Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • One (1) year training (12 months) and/or experience in heating and air conditioning technology under the supervision or journeyman trade worker or equivalent.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and must be insurable under UT driving policies..
  • Ability to use math, read and write common vocabulary, understand manuals, and verbal instructions (technical in nature).
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, ability to read and understand electrical wiring schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools as they relate to HVAC/R and maintenance.
  • Ability to apply principles to solve a variety of everyday practical problems.
  • Work well with hands and with close tolerances.
  • Demonstrates ability to follow blueprints or shop drawings.
