Maintenance Technician

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment related to tool production. This position ensures that all machinery meets production goals and quality standards, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot electronic and electrical problems on machines and equipment.
  • Maintain operational status of all electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Perform machine maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure equipment and systems are maintained to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery per schedule.
  • Maintain proper maintenance records and documentation.
  • Evaluate new and replacement electronic and electrical hardware.
  • Monitor maintenance supplies and notify the Maintenance Manager when supplies need replacement.
  • Maintain all work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Support Building Maintenance tasks as requested.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of basic electricity and electronics, including single-phase and industrial three-phase power.
  • Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
  • Superior troubleshooting skills with various systems such as VFD's, CNC servo control systems, and industrial motors.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring devices, gauges, and tools.
  • Computer literacy, particularly with Office 365.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and aerial lift (training provided).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under indirect supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and use a forklift and aerial lift.
  • Flexibility of hands and fingers for handling small parts and electrical wires.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and grasp to perform duties.
  • Visual acuity to read small print.
