Clothing Center Specialist - Helping Hands of St. Louis, Toledo

The Clothing Center Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the clothing center and works with the HHSL Director to determine what donations are needed for HHSL's daily programs.

  • Greet and welcome clients and volunteers.
  • Ensure there are enough volunteers to run all essential stations.
  • Explain Clothing Center procedures as needed.
  • Manage the recordkeeping related to the donated goods using Charity Tracker.
  • Manage recordkeeping of volunteers and volunteer hours.
  • Manage the recordkeeping of clients.
  • Manage the cleanliness of the Clothing Center.
  • Ensure donation bins are emptied frequently, and areas around them are clean.
  • Manage the daily sorting of donations.
  • Coordinate, train, and work with volunteers.
  • Run reports as needed for statistics and grant information.
  • Regular attendance is essential for this position.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the agency’s mission and values and commits to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • * High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a retail and/or customer service position.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning the Charity Tracker Program.
  • Maintain a current driver's license and be able to travel within the Diocese of Toledo.
  • Successful BCI/FBI background check prior to employment and every 5 years.
Residential Specialist

The Residential Specialist is responsible for maintaining a positive living environment for house guests residing in the facility. They ensure that the facility's ongoing order, cleanliness, and safety are maintained. They provide customer-friendly service to our house guests while ensuring that everyone follows house policies and procedures.

  • Responds to the needs of our house guests and provides customer-friendly service.
  • Ensure that our house guests follow house policies and procedures and complete assigned housework.
  • Communicates information pertaining to periodic house meetings, reminds housemates and neighbors about house activities and workshops, and ensures they are respectful to housemates and neighbors.
  • Carefully follows and completes the detailed work specified in the La Posada “Shift Duties and Responsibilities” document.
  • Completes administrative duties, including, but not limited to, assisting new house guests in completing the intake process, answering phones, and greeting visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Must maintain daily activity logs and reports, communicating necessary information to Case Managers and Program Coordinator.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all colleagues regarding house operations and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a social services environment is desirable.
  • Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Maintain a current driver's license and be willing to travel within the Diocese of Toledo.

Crisis Navigator - Catholic Charities, Mansfield

A Crisis Navigator works directly with individuals facing acute challenges such as homelessness, mental health crises, substance misuse, or domestic abuse. They provide personalized support from first contact through stabilization, helping clients navigate complex systems to achieve safety, independence, and long-term stability.

  • Provides initial intake screening to determine the caller/visitor’s needs.
  • Offers information and local referral services to help match client needs with appropriate community resources.
