Job Description:
As a Warehouse Inventory Assistant, you will receive and process department orders to ensure the collection of blood supplies from a central warehouse location. This role involves basic receiving and shipping duties, stocking and processing blood-product supplies, and arranging and troubleshooting delivery logistics from our blood collection sites. You will also maintain a customer‑focused approach, interacting positively with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, verify and report discrepancies or damage of materials and supplies against receiving documents; store and stack materials to prescribed methods.
- Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, deliver materials and supplies to end users and/or departments.
- Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.
- Assist with systemwide electronic inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and electronic inventory reconciliation processes.
- Work with the ordering department to assist in the ordering process.
- Cycle count supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with humanitarian partners to assist with disaster supplies when needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a regulated environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean DMV record may be required.
- Forklift operation certification may be required.
- Basic reading, writing, communication, math and computer skills.
- Ability to work on a team.
The pay rate is $17.17 per hour.
Physical RequirementsRequires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended periods; lifting, pulling, pushing and moving objects up to 50 pounds; may work in walk‑in refrigerators/freezers; may be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves and face shields.
