Responsible for identifying improvements and major repair needs on the distribution system, assessing performance improvements on a cost/benefit basis, supporting Field Engineering Design for customer additions requiring substantial system changes, planning system improvements in line with customer needs, reviewing daily interruption reports, analyzing projected circuit deficiencies, developing alternatives to improve circuit reliability, recommending equipment replacement vs repair to maximize Return on Asset (ROA), and participating in major restoration efforts including emergency preparedness.

Responding to emergency situations is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. - Experience:
2-5 years of equivalent experience in Energy Delivery preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range is $94,730 - $105,250. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
In addition to performing the duties of a Distribution Design Engineer, this role is responsible for the performance and design of the electrical distribution system, development of projects to meet customer needs, capacity needs, and addressing performance concerns. The role collaborates with all other departments, leads training and mentoring of other engineers within the group, oversees project creation, presentation, documentation, and leads 3-state engineering initiatives as SME for distribution tools and engineering.

- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred); M.S. preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of related experience in electric utility engineering required; 3 years of distribution engineering preferred.
- Accountabilities – Primary Duties:
- Participant in or lead three state initiatives.
- Develop training guides and materials.
- Mentors and trains other Engineers.
- Attends industry conferences and webinars.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range is $122,010 - $135,570. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
